Constança Entrudo’s signature unwoven technique reinterprets traditional weaving by working exclusively with the warp and removing the weft entirely. Hundreds of yarns are individually hand treated, combed, and then bonded before being placed one by one onto a canvas in a single direction. The absence of the weft creates an intentional sense of looseness and fragility, while the density of the warp forms a structured, tactile surface.
This slow, week-long process results in a material that sits between textile and sculpture, challenging conventional fabric construction and opening space for new visual and textural possibilities.
