AD HOC

A collaborative project between constança entrudo and marie hazard

AD HOC is a collaborative textile project let by marie hazard and constança entrudo, developed between france and portugal.

it explores the relationship between textile, body and space through a dialogue between two complementary practices: the handwoven and handcrafted textiles of marie hazard in Paris, and the sculptural, experimental garments of constança entrudo in lisbon.

Positioned at the intersection of textile art and fashion, AD HOC operates within a territory where artistic research meets the worn garment. Textile art introduces an attentiveness to materiality, technique, and narrative; fashion brings the presence of the body, movement, and the lived experience of wearing.

Together, these approaches open up new forms in which clothing functions simultaneously as an artistic medium and as a vector for spatial and poetic dialogue. The collaboration is anchored in a shared reflection on time as a creative material—embracing slow research, attentive making, and sustained exchange. In a sector often defined by speed and repetition, AD HOC proposes a deliberate and precise methodology rooted in experimentation and collaborative authorship.

Eco-responsibility forms the foundation of the project. Materials include recycled and organic fibers, reclaimed inner tubes and polyester, and surplus materials repurposed through studio experimentation. Production is carried out locally in Portugal to minimize transport impact, waste is carefully controlled, and fabric offcuts are preserved for ongoing research and development. Digital printing is employed to reduce water and energy use, reinforcing a circular and conscientious approach.
